When you follow the same fitness routine day-in and day-out, you can easily become bored.
Even the results you were once seeing may not be showing anymore. When that happens, it’s time to add variety and try a new workout routine. Here are 3 steps to make it happen.
Make sure you have a goal
Set a goal and then build your new workout routine around that specific goal.
For example, if you’re looking to add muscle, build your routine around strength training. If you’re just trying to keep fit, consider 30 minutes on the AMT and lifting some free weights afterwards. No matter what, keep that main goal in the front of your mind.
What motivates you to work out?
Maybe it’s getting healthier and setting an example for your family. Or perhaps fitness is a lifestyle choice you have in common with your friends. No matter the case, find inspiration through these interests – like sharing your Preva badges with your friends and family to keep them up-to-date on your fitness progress.
Keep time in mind
Only have 30 minutes at the gym? No problem.
Just keep those time constraints in mind as you build your new routine. By keeping time limits in mind, you’ll be more likely to fit in your workout during lunch instead of skipping out on it. And if you truly are on a tight schedule, consider implementing exercises into your routine you know take less time but still provide great health benefits.
How have you mixed up your fitness routine in the past?
