I tried several "ellipticals" and found the Precor to be superior. The other machines all had linkage arms to simulate the elliptical action. This in no way emulated the smoothness of the Precor wheels sliding up and down the ramp. This model Precor is as smooth as the professional model I previously used at our local gym. Additionally, this machine is much more quiet than competing machines. I highly recommend this machine

Bad Electronics

I like the machine but it was hard to start after 2 years. It would light up then shut off, you had to turn it on and shut it off quite a few times before it would stay on. Now it just doesn't turn on. Needs a new mother board.

Quality Machine

I like that Precor skipped the bells and whistles in order to focus on quality with this one.

I have owned the machine for about 2 months now. It originally was rocking a bit during use since I had it on a carpeted floor. I went out and had Lowe's cut a piece of plywood (blondewood because it looks nice) to 30x75 inches and put that under the machine. This has helped tremendously. It still moves a very tiny bit, but it doesn't interfere with the ride at all.

Cheaper ellipticals don't compare. Precor is in a league of its own.
