Disappointed

I purchased a Precor 5.37 Crosstrainer unit in Cypress, TX less than three months ago. My experience with this Precor 5.37 crosstrainer has been very disappointing. If you weigh 200 pounds or less, it might be a good machine. If you are, like me, heavier than that, I suggest you look for a different machine. At my weight, this unit makes a lot of noise during a workout. It "creaks" and "moans" and on the Interval progam 1-1 at an incline of 10 or more and a resistance of 8,there is a distinctive "knock" on the forward stride of the left foot pedal which sounds as if the pedal or the glide mechanism is hitting the ramp. It is very annoying and makes you think the unit is about to brake down or otherwise come apart. Since it is still under warranty we had repair man come out and he said nothing is wrong with the unit and it must be the way I am using it. (Always easier, and cheaper for them to sight "operator problem" than to admit machine might need adjustment.) Only conclusion I can come to is that I am just too heavy for this unit. So, if you weigh less than 235, this might be a good machine for you. If you weigh more than that...... (based on my experience) I suggest you look for a different machine. Hopefully I will be able to sell this unit and recoup a portion of my investment. If not, I guess I will have a $5,000 clothes hanger in my workout room. Heavyweights, don't waste your money. In hindsight, wish I had gone with Life Fitness or some other unit brand.
