Shoulder Press 550

Shoulder Press

The Cross Pivot Technology (CPT) on the 550 Shoulder Press creates a motion path similar to a seated dumbbell press. The handles allow for multiple grips and the start point has two settings. A two-position back-support pad is angled slightly back for shoulder comfort. The seat pad features an easy-to-adjust ratcheting mechanism.

Great Shoulder machine

Dumbbell presses were my favorite exercise. I purchased one of these machines slightly used to re-hab my shoulder after surgery. It is an excellent machine. I love it. It does have the motion of dumbbell presses, but with the stability of a machine. The angles and motion of this machine is really outstanding and the placement of the counter weights are just right. It appears to me that you lift what you put on it. Like the Icarian Incline press, this machine feels heavier than other like machines that tend to distribute the weights on the light side. The construction is very heavy duty. I am a fan of Hammer Strength Machines, but these Icarian machines are built with much heavier duty construction. I would love to see Precor come out with a plate loaded seated row machine like this.
