Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, located in the heart of Weston-Super-Mare, has undergone a £2.15 million transformation, including a two-storey extension featuring a modern, state-of-the-art gym complete with new equipment.
The six month expansion project, funded and managed by North Somerset Council, brings the facilities firmly into the 21st Century, meeting customer expectation and incorporating current fitness trends. The new 795 sq m fitness facilities now boast a 155-station gym featuring a large range of Precor cardiovascular equipment all fitted with Preva networked fitness providing members with an engaging and personalised experience, a selection of strength equipment, along with two group fitness studios offering both virtual and instructor-led classes.
A squash court has been refurbished and transformed into a 26-bike indoor cycling studio, while the area previously used as a bar for the squash court, turned into a Sway dance studio, offering a range of professionally-delivered dance classes.
A dedicated studio showcasing a large Queenax functional training unit has been built, and, as well as suspended body weight training, the studio will host twenty specialist small group classes such as HIIT, boxing and Anti-Gravity yoga.

The feedback on the Precor Discovery Plate-Loaded stations and the Queenax functional unit has been extremely positive. Customers like the new Precor Experience CV equipment and the Preva networked fitness interactive training options.
“This expansion will allow us to grow with the local community and continue to meet fitness trends, offering a wide range of top-class specialist equipment to keep everyone motivated and active.”

Hutton Moor Leisure Centre also offers a 25m swimming pool, a squash court, two flood-lit tennis courts, three outdoor 3G seven-a-side pitches and a health suite providing saunas, steam room and relaxing spa areas.
