When it comes to creating fitness goals, it’s not all that difficult to actually set the goal itself – perhaps you want to log a certain number of kilometers during the week, exercise for a specific amount of time throughout the week, or just burn a ton of calories. The tricky part comes once you know what your goal is – how are you going to keep track of your progress and make sure that you’re on your way to reaching that goal?
Precor offers two distinct ways to help you stay in check with your fitness goals: our Preva Mobile app and Preva technology available on our P80 console.
Preva Mobile app
Available for iOS and Android, the Preva Mobile app is the ideal way to make sure you’re meeting your weekly target.
First, download the app. When you open it, create an account with your email and details.
Next, set a goal.
Establish the number of days you intend to work out each week, what your target metric is (is your goal to burn calories, go a certain distance, or exercise for a certain length of time?), your daily target given your specified metric, and what your current fitness focus is (choose between be fit, lose weight, get toned, and push performance). Once you’ve chosen all aspects of your goal, save it.
Update your Preva app every time you work out to see how your progress matches up with your goals over the course of each week. You are also able to view your lifetime history of exercise progress with the Preva Mobile app.
Found on networked Precor equipment at the gym, the P80 console is equipped to handle your goal-keeping needs.
First, log in with your Preva account on the console.
Once you begin your workout, you’ll be able to view your weekly goals. Select the Goal Compass icon near the bottom of the screen. From here, you will be able to set your weekly goals, just like with the Preva app.
Upon completing your goal settings, choose “Save”. Every time you log in to your Preva account from the P80 console, you’ll be able to see your progress toward your weekly goal, making it easy to keep track of your hard work.
