Fresh Gym Invests in New Equipment
For the first time since opening in 2011 Fresh Gym, in Shepperton, Middlesex has installed brand new Precor equipment.Â
The 7,000 sq ft, 60-station gym, which is owned and run by qualified personal trainer Gary Kermish, has been open for five years. Kermish, who previously installed refurbished equipment, decided to invest in the future and purchase five new Precor treadmills, a Discovery Series Selectorised leg curl, a Discovery Series Plate-Loaded angled leg press and Icarian benches and racks.
Kermish comments: “We previously purchased secondhand Precor equipment due to budget restraints as the business was new, and initially hoped by buying the best brand possible, it would live up to its reputation of reliability. It was a great starting point but as the business has developed, and our treadmills were coming to the end of their life, we knew it was important for members to see continued investment in the gym.Â
“The new Precor strength pieces are an addition to our existing refurbished range in response to feedback from both members and our PT’s, who wanted a broader choice, and we also wanted to add value to our offering and stay competitive. The new equipment has gone down really well and should help us retain members. Our plan is to replace all the kit over the next year, which will give us peace of mind and added reliability.
“We chose Precor as the equipment is easy to use, functional, looks good and is reliable. I also like the fact that the Precor sales team and engineers have been with the company a long time and provide that personal touch, which we feel is similar to our own ethos of representing a high-end service, knowledge and products at a competitive price.â€
The gym also features dance and indoor cycling studios offering over 50 classes per week including BoxFit, Yoga, Pilates, as well as a unique Fresh Air outdoor bootcamp and circuit training in local parks and under 16’s Fresh Academy youth sessions.
