Meet the Precor Master Coaches: Hayley Hollander

Hi! I'm Hayley Hollander. I’m originally from Las Vegas, currently living in Chicago, Illinois for the last year and a half. Love and a great job opportunity brought me to Chicago. I am lucky to be the evil step mom to two beautiful children. I am the Fitness Director for Midtown Athletic Club Chicago, co-founder of a fitness consulting company called Advanced Training Performance, Faculty Member for PTA Global, and an international presenter and author.

Precor has more than 50 Master Coaches in 20 countries around the world. These Master Coaches deliver workshops on Precor equipment, develop curriculum for new onsite training courses, contribute to our blogs, and provide premier coaching at tradeshows and events. What got you into fitness?

My 7th grade PE teacher inspired me to want to coach. It was that inspiration that led me to ask for a gym membership for Christmas when I was 15 years old.

How many years have you been involved in the fitness industry?

Sixteen years and still learning!

Why did you want to be a Precor Master Coach?

I’m happy to have the unique opportunity to be a part of something new and great for a company who has a great culture AND to work with the GREAT Erica Tillinghast again; she is capable of doing amazing things.

What is your favorite piece of Precor equipment and why?

The Precor StretchTrainer – it is crazy amazing at what it can do and how variable it is in offering the client the ability to stretch in their own range. Plus the small footprint is outstanding!

What is your favorite move to do on Queenax equipment?

I like the swinging pull-up with the superfunctional trainer.

What’s your favorite personal fitness story or memory?

My favorite memory was getting a standing ovation from all the attendees at the mentorship I taught in Dubai!

Tell us about a time you were able to help a client reach and/or exceed his or her fitness goals.

I had a 13-year-old teenage girl, who was about 50 pounds overweight. I was able to help her lose that weight over the course of a year. She made the swim team and the cheerleading squad, her asthma subsided and she is now in college to study to be a registered dietician.

What’s your favorite fitness mantra?

"Love the way you move, and move in ways you love."

What’s your favorite movie?

McFarland USA is my most recent favorite that is fitness related. It represents a coach who leads with his heart, and inspires others to do the same.

Give us a random fun fact about yourself!

If I wasn’t a personal trainer I would rather be a pastry chef!
