New York, NY - The Global Spa Summit (GSS) announced today that Precor, a leading designer and manufacturer of premium fitness equipment, and Thermarium, an international spa design, manufacturing and services company, will each be a Platinum Sponsor of the 2011 conference being held in Bali, Indonesia from May 15-18. Both companies have committed to the highest level of Summit sponsorship for multiple years, and both were Platinum-level supporters of last year’s Summit in Istanbul, Turkey. They join the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Republic of Indonesia at the premier 2011 sponsorship level.
“Each year we find that companies providing support for the Summit are at the very top of the league in their industries. And their support is a testament to their high-level and high-minded commitment to the growth of our wider, global industry,” said Peter Ellis, Chairman of the Board of the GSS. “Every year the most seasoned industry executives from around the world gather to learn from, teach and network with each other, and they deeply appreciate this generous, ongoing support from Precor and Thermarium.”

“Our sponsorship of the 2011 Global Spa Summit is something we’re thrilled to continue,” said Jeff Kohl, Precor Director of Global Hospitality Sales. “Our strongest desire is to share with the global spa community our passion for delivering the kinds of products and services that help people achieve their fitness goals.”
Thermarium: Founded in 1997, Austria-based Thermarium was one of the first, trend-setting companies to specialize in the design and manufacturing of spa areas, and has since expanded to offer a uniquely comprehensive spa service portfolio, providing everything from consulting, design, engineering and custom-made spa equipment (thermal rooms, water experiences and treatment room equipment, etc.). New products coming in 2011: the first real “snow shower” (launching 9.2011) and a relaxation/therapy room called “Salonge” featuring a special micro-salt climate. The company has worked with hundreds of hospitality brands, including Armani Hotel & Resorts, Banyan Tree, Intercontinental, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, Shangri-La, and Swissotel.
“The Global Spa Summit is an utterly special industry event and resource, and it’s given us a powerful opportunity to connect with the top decision-makers,” noted Elmar Nagele, CEO of Thermarium. “We firmly believe in the Summit’s mission to grow, together, our worldwide spa and wellness industries – and in turn, it’s provided us a great platform to grow our own business across the world.”
