NIRSA 2017: Thanks For a Great Show

Universities from the United States and Canada came together to celebrate their passion for fitness at the NIRSA Conference and Expo in the Washington, DC area on February 22 and 23, 2017.

Here is a recap of what was showcased in the Precor booth:

Experience™ Series 800 and 700 Lines

Did you have the chance to experience our most premium line of cardio equipment? We showcased several products from our 800 Line, including the new EFX® with Converging CrossRamp®. This line of equipment is designed to handle the demands of your recreation center while delivering the exceptional quality performance that you and your exercisers expect from Precor. With features such as the Active Status Light™, an indicator that alerts gym staff to the operational status of their equipment, the 800 Line is certain to make a strong impression in your facility.

We also introduced the 700 Line, which is our newest line of high-performing, reliable cardio equipment. These fundamental pieces of equipment have a familiar look and feel as our 800 Line and are consistent with delivering a high-quality user experience. You’ll also benefit from the Active Status Light, and have the option of choosing from three consoles to best suit the needs of your students and staff.

Spinning® Indoor Cycling

We brought “power” to the show by unveiling the Spinner Chrono Power bike that features magnetic brakes and power measurement, which is considered to be the most accurate way to measure your personal performance on an indoor cycle. Differentiate your recreation center with the most sought after indoor cycling program. Spinner® bikes by Precor feature the reliability, durability, and customer support you expect from Precor plus the backing of more than 20 years of industry insights, education, and programming from Spinning. If you are looking to rev up your recreation center, you’ll want to take a look at our entire portfolio of Spinning® indoor cycles: Spinner Ride, Shift, and Rally, as well as the new Spinner Chrono Power bike.

Queenax Functional Training

Recreation centers from around the world are incorporating functional training systems into their facilities to meet the needs and demands of their students and staff. We showcased Queenax™, the functional training system that transforms a section of your fitness facility into a multi-purpose, highly customizable training area. Attendees were mesmerized by how versatile and flexible Queenax can be, whether delivering group training, circuit training, or personal training. If you missed Queenax at NIRSA, you can learn more here.

Discovery™ Series

Your facility’s strength area will stand out with our Discovery Series strength. We featured our new Power Rack and Half Racks at NIRSA that have the ability to be connected either side-by-side or back-to-back. Additionally, if you didn’t have the opportunity to give our new plate-loaded Squat Machine a try, you missed feeling the difference its unique pivot system offers. Be sure to take a look at the variety of our Discovery Series plate-loaded and selectorized strength equipment, in addition to our benches and racks.

Networked Fitness

P82 and P62 Consoles

Students and staff want to be connected and keep track of their fitness goals, catch up with their latest shows, and have state-of-the-art technology at their fingertips. Both our P82 console and the slightly smaller P62 console offer just that. Touchscreens allow exercisers excellent entertainment viewing, as well as a way for you, the operator, to gather information about your equipment’s performance.

EXOS ESD Technology

We’ve partnered with EXOS to offer their impressive Energy System Development (ESD) Technology on select networked Precor cardio equipment. EXOS programming offers a prescriptive workout plan that monitors and evaluates exercisers’ progress. EXOS allows you to offer a unique cardio experience through a proven and guided path that leads to real results. If you didn’t hear about this at NIRSA, contact a sales representative to find out how your recreation center can get involved with EXOS.
