Since 2013, they have embraced a comprehensive suite of Precor cardio products featuring connected fitness solutions, which have enhanced the club's fitness offerings, providing members with cutting-edge equipment and premium workout experience.

Focused on attracting new members, retaining existing members, and improving their ability to provide individualized coaching and personal training plans, RAC implemented several strategic solutions.

Their entire cardio lineup now includes connected fitness Precor products. "Connected fitness solutions are the expected standard from our members," according to Matt. They dedicated a specific area of their facility as an "EGYM Studio," equipping it with 10 pieces of Precor cardio equipment alongside EGYM Strength equipment. New-to-EGYM members start by creating an EGYM profile and participating in an EGYM onboarding session led by a RAC coach. EGYM's advanced tracking capabilities and personalized programming provide a proven method for monitoring and developing fitness levels, making it a valuable tool for both members and trainers.
Connected Fitness and Coaching Deliver Measurable Results
Celebrating and promoting new Precor Connected Fitness solutions along with EGYM has yielded impressive results for RAC. According to their data, existing members who utilize EGYM show twice the membership retention rate compared to those who do not. Additionally, the personal training staff at RAC now use EGYM data from Precor machines to offer more personalized training programs. This improves their ability to sell personal training sessions and enhances client outcomes in these sessions.
Partnering with Precor and EGYM has positioned the Rochester Athletic Club as a leader in the commerical fitness space, setting a benchmark for other health clubs to follow.
